I grew up in a broken home where my dad had passed away when i was 9 years old. I got lost with depression and anger. I got introduced to smoking, drinking and committing lustful actions around the age of 11. When I came to Unashamed Clubs a year ago, I got touched by the Holy Spirit and received healing. That is when I knew God was real, so I gave my life to him. Ever since then I have been freed from every lie of the enemy and I became an Unashamed Club leader. Being a leader has really impacted my walk with Christ. I have learned what a true relationship with God is. I have learned and understand my bible a lot more and gain wisdom. Jesus has transformed me, thanks for Unashamed Clubs willing to be bold and bring Jesus to schools.

Growing up I didn’t have the perfect childhood. I moved to Washington during my early teen’s. I was sad, lost and and trying to find love in things that would end up leaving me worse. In heartbreak, Unashamed Clubs were in my schools. During club I came to Jesus and gave my life to him. Unashamed clubs gave me that opportunity to stay connected in good community and not fall back into my old habits. Unashamed Clubs is such a good faith based club that everyone should be apart of, they did not only help me but changed my life and the life of other students. We cannot do life alone, Unashamed Clubs is here to do life with you.

Before I knew Christ I had a toxic relationship with my father, because of that it led me to drinking and smoking. These actions caused me to feel worthless and very suicidal. On July 2023, I attempted to commit suicide but wasn’t successful. I didn’t believe in God. A lot of my friends that attended Unashamed Clubs were praying for me and believing for me. There prayers came through, I got out the hospital within 3 days. After returning to school, still feeling guilty and suicidal I asked God to show me my worth and why I should stay. Two hours later they announced Unashamed Clubs for Richland high and the first day of club I gave my life to God. Since that day I don’t drink or smoke, suicide no longer torments me. I became an Unashamed Club leader and the relationship between me my dad relationship has gotten so much better to the point I consider him like my best friend.

Before I started going to Unashamed Clubs, life was tough. I felt like I had nobody to talk to, partly because I grew up in a broken home and wasn’t around the right crowd. I struggled with my language and battled with explicit content. The first time I went to Unashamed Club was just for the pizza, not expecting anything, but the message felt like it was directly for me. I felt a warm sensation over my body, and looking back, I know now that was the Holy Spirit. It felt like God was calling me to pick up my cross and follow Him. After that, I talked to one of the leaders, and he prayed over me. By junior year, I became a leader and president of Unashamed Clubs, and that year was such a blessing! Unashamed Club has helped me so much—what started as me just showing up for pizza turned into a place where I found healing, purpose, and the courage to speak about my struggles without fear of judgment. Now, I can share my faith, pray for others, and see God moving in our schools. Our schools need Jesus, and Unashamed Clubs is making that happen.
